After a year’s respite, it is time for us to return to blogging. While picking you up and getting you to where you need to be, quickly, safely, and efficiently is our main focus, advertising that will not be the sole purpose of our blog (but don’t worry, it’ll pop up when you least expect it). We would love to welcome you into the Carmel family and enjoy meeting our staff, drivers, and the little oddities and observations about life in and out of our home-base in New York.
Whether you’re going 10 blocks or around the globe, we want to be a part of that journey. Movement is such an important and innate aspect to human life. There is a always a need to move, sometimes for work, sometimes for pleasure, but, in either case, moving will always be a necessary part of life in the twenty-first century.
Standing still has never been our style, and it is doubtful that it’s yours. There is too much of the world to see, too many adventures to be had, too much business to conduct to remain immobile in our familiar surroundings. And with all that movement it is impossible not to progress as a society. The more that one sees and experiences, either good or bad, offers the potential to grow as together and as individuals.
The world is an increasingly small place as a higher degree of interconnectivity is achieved. What took weeks or months to achieve even just decades ago, can now be accessed in a few clicks. Communication has never been faster, but, at the same time, keeps us so distant from one another. It is easy to forget that throughout all this movement and growth that connection to each other on a personal level is most important. The best of us can forget that personal, human touch as we sit behind our computers and stare into the vastness of the internet.
We want to connect with you, our customers and community. We want to be your go-to ride of course, and for you to feel like a priority but, above all, a friend. Numbers matter, business matters, but what matters most is our instinctive need for connection as humans moving within our world. Let us help you move, and together we can all move forward.
