The Mamas and the Papas may have lied. Monday, Monday may not be as good to me as they say. In fact, one could argue that it is the most despised day of the week. It marks the end of your treasured time of respite and fun. At the same time, it is also the furthest you’ll be from the joys and relaxation that only the weekend can provide.
Monday is the start of the workweek, assuming you have the conventional Monday to Friday, 9:00-5:00 sort of job. There are plenty that will never know a weekend, hospital workers, bartenders, looking at you, but many of those types of workers will also not feel the pains of a Monday morning commute. If you’re an actor or stagehand in Actor’s Equity, Monday is, most likely, your weekend. For the rest of society, Monday carries with it harsh and negative connotations.
Many are of a similar mind to Garfield with their hatred of the day. Perhaps a giant piece of lasagna would ease the blow of a stressful Monday? The start of the week brings with it the stress that was put on hold for weekend activities. Brunch is over, and now you must look at that excel sheet of facts and figures for the next eight hours.
Very few are exempt from work-related stress. It may even surprise you to know, that behind your relaxing and seamless Carmel car or limo ride, someone has stressed over the logistics. Of course you’ll never know, nor would we want you to know. We just want to ensure you of a quality ride, we’ll leave the feverish work in our 24 hour call center. (Really starting the nail this product placement. I bet you barely even noticed!)
Whatever industry you are in, you undoubtedly have experienced “a case of the Mondays,” or a feeling very similar. How long and gloomy the week ahead looks! It is days full of meetings (to which we will be happy to chauffeur you), emails, reports, and unpleasant co-workers invading your space and your time.
With all that bearing down on you, it is no wonder that an escape, however small, is necessary from time to time. A treat from you to you has the power to turn a day around. Who takes better care of you than you? You know exactly what you want and exactly what you like. Leave that Monday stress behind, and give yourself the escape you need.
And what better way to reward yourself and escape the hustle of the city on the worst day of the week than a relaxing, stress-free ride home? Avoid that A train at rush hour, no one needs to touch that many strangers. Let us worry about your commute, you’ve had a long day.
Give us a call, you know the number. Don’t pretend that you don’t, the Carmel jingle is as New York as Cellino and Barnes or Kars for Kids. Reserve yourself a car online or from your phone, and we’ll be fast at work on Monday and everyday to offer you the best service in the industry. So go ahead and get that car service:
Treat. Yo. Self.
It’s Monday, you deserve it.
