Veterans Day is a time to reflect and be thankful to the many veterans, active service members, and military families that have served our nation relentlessly and sacrificed so much. It is the biggest celebration of service in America, which every American child must know of.

As always, even amid the current Pandemic, on Veterans Day, Americans will come together to pay respects and extend their gratitude to those who have served our country.

This time, New Yorkers will be thankful with pride in their hearts and celebrate the new American president’s joy coming to power. Carmel Limo NYC will join thousands of NYC riders in extending our spirit of gratitude.

We offer attractive discounts on the Carmel app to better thank those who have served and bring our community closer. Carmel Limousines is known to be following strict social-distancing protocols to safeguard the health of its riders.

On Veterans’ Day, we take inspiration from our veterans to protect our riders and help them stay on-the-move without hassles.

While many veterans have joined Carmel to help the community get around, we’d like to thank them for keeping the spirit of freedom alive in all of us.

As we pay homage to the heroes, NYC offers a magnitude of ways to celebrate Veteran’s Day.

It’s straightforward to get around NYC on Veteran’s day with Carmel. Just book a cab on the Carmel App and slide into one of our rides to revel in the spectacular events of this day with family and friends. You could also book multiple destinations in the same ride, which will help you get to places faster without having to wait for another cab on a busy and unpredictable day.

We’ve rounded up the top New York attractions and memorials to visit during the holiday in this blog. Don’t miss the Veteran’s Day parade, which is a great way to exhibit solidarity and respect.

Veteran’s Day Parade

The Veterans Day Parade will happen on November 11, 2020. The procession begins at noon along Fifth Avenue, starting at 26th Street, preceded by a traditional opening ceremony at 11 am at the Eternal Light monument located at Madison Square Park (Fifth Avenue and 24th Street). This will conclude with a wreath laying ceremony at noon.

All the way up to 46th Street, you will witness that the march is impressive and raises our patriotism spirit. It extends over 1.2-miles and includes marchers, musicians, veterans of all eras, civic and youth groups, military units, local businesses, and the top high school marching bands to add color and splendor to the spectacle, which will end at 3:30 pm.

In 2019, the United States Marine Corps was the featured military branch, while the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard were proudly represented as well. This year will similarly commemorate Veteran’s Day.

The Great American flag will be on display with fireworks to spark our inner pride and levitate our American spirit.

Carmel Limos will help you reconnect to the American dream and become a part of this great Veteran’s day parade with our secure and sanitized limos. Book your limo sooner since only limited seats are available at the opening ceremony.

An All-American Treat at Applebee’s

Over the past 12 years, Applebee’s restaurants in NYC have served free meals to veterans and active-duty military personnel on Veterans Day, honoring them for their courage and sacrifice. Carmel helps you continue the tradition and enjoy a scrumptious all-American meal (with lip-smacking pies and more) by reaching there on time.

We also offer attractive discounts on our app that can help you save up on your rides. Applebee’s is an excellent place for kids and adults alike to celebrate the American spirit and extend our solidarity to the brave men of our nation.

Fall Forest Weekend

Fall is a great season to celebrate nature, and what better way to sink into the spirit of Veteran’s day than taking the kids out for a natural retreat at the Thain Family Forest at the Bronx Park.

This exciting forest is a vast expanse of the remaining old-growth forest tract in NYC, with a guided hike on the trails. It lets you get immersed in the fall colors while indulging in Shakespearean performances and the sounds of the forest.

The chorus and soundscape acts are a treat to the ears, which also have community messages on climate change, deforestation, wildlife, and more in a technology-dominated world, coming alive in the performances.

Awaken your sense of tranquillity and reconnect with nature through forest art performed by key nature artists and take home a fresh perspective on nature.

Don’t forget to book your Carmel cab for a luxurious ride to the forest trail gates on our app.

Chocolate Lovers Camp

This is an event meant for kids aged 4-8 years and will span from 9 am to 12 pm at the Taste Buds Kitchen, 109 W, 27th St., NYC.
