Easter is a favorite holiday after Christmas among New Yorkers. Everybody, from kids to adults, looks forward to this iconic day commemorating Jesus Christ’s resurrection. Easter symbolizes the hope of salvation and the defeat of evil. Additionally, it allows relaxing, unwinding, and spending time with friends and family.

Easter began as a spring celebration that reflects pagan festivities in the Northern Hemisphere, even before Christianity adopted it.

Every year, Easter falls on the first Sunday after the full Moon occurs after the spring equinox. Easter is full of Church celebrations, choirs, Easter eggs, bunnies, fun, food, and laughter. New York City has the perfect setting and formula to make Easter memorable for everyone visiting or living in the city.

It is a holiday where the streets of New York buzz with skits, performances, colors, music, and more. Carmel Limos New York City is committed to providing seamless riding services during Easter in and around New York City. In this blog, we’ve curated the perfect itinerary for you to celebrate Easter memorably.

Easter Sunday Mass

Start your day at St. Patrick’s Cathedral by joining the Easter Sunday mass that starts at 7 am. The entrance is free except for the 10:15 am mass. Then, you can light a prayer candle, listen to the priest’s sermon, and start a fresh day with divine thoughts.

The Church of St. Francis Xavier is another religious site where you can attend the Easter Sunday mass from 9 am to 10 am.

After an enlightening experience at the church, you will be brim with positive energy to spend the rest of the day. Download the Carmel Limos app to book a comfortable ride to the Easter Sunday mass. If you’re going with family, we recommend our super-comfortable SUVs or minivans.

A Delightful Easter Breakfast or Brunch

Indulge in a delightful brunching experience at one of these top-recommended eateries.

ABC Kitchen

Located at 18th Street Broadway, ABC Kitchen serves an All-American menu curated by top chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The food is organic and includes farm-to-table ingredients that are locally sourced. In addition, the restaurant dishes out pre-starters or appetizers called Market Table, starters, and healthy mains.

The elaborate menu consists of classics like chicory salad, peppercorn vinaigrette, bouquerones, grilled faroe island salmon, grilled chicken paillard, house-roasted turkey sandwich, smoked bacon and jalapenos, house-made cheeseburger, steamed black sea bass with chilies and herbs, fried organic chicken, and Swiss rainbow chard.

We highly recommend the wood oven-roasted Maine lobster and apple-smoked bacon. The signature pretzel-encrusted calamari is known for its texture and taste. The Easter special desserts include chocolate cake topped with toasted marshmallows, citrus tiramisu, apple tart, and Caramel Popcorn Sundae.

The extensive wine list includes Acobia, Cynar, Borsci, Cardamaro, Nonino Amaro, Montenegro, and Faccia Brutto Alpino. You can also opt for Brandy, Single-malts, and other seasoned alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
